Coach Sergio Traguil‘s future at KCCA FC is hanging in the balance following his side’s 3-1 defeat against Kitara in the Uganda Premier League on Friday at Masindi stadium.

This was KCCA FC’s fourth consecutive defeat, which has created a lot of pressure at the club.

It is now up to the management to decide whether Traguil will continue as the club’s coach or not.

Reports suggest that he was given three games to improve the team’s performance, but the board may not wait for the remaining two games to be played.

Forwards Living Kabon, Paul Mucureezi, and substitute Denis Omedi were on the scoresheet for Kitara, while substitute Joao Gabriel scored a consolation goal for KCCA FC.

Coach Traguil revealed that his team failed to capitalize on their chances.

“We started well and even created chances, but we failed to utilize them,” Traguil said.

“When we conceded the second goal, we lost the momentum. We will try to see that we improve.”

KCCA FC remained second from bottom with no points, while Kitara are second with 12 points.

They have the same number of points as table leaders BUL, but the Jinja side has a better goal difference.

Kitara’s Paul Mucureezi scored against his former side.

Kitara coach Brian Ssenyondo praised his players for their performance.

“We played well despite playing a tough side,” Ssenyondo said.

“They wanted to bounce back, but we remained resistant. We will build on this in our next games.”
