URA FC’s dismal away form in the Star Times Uganda Premier League persisted, as KCCA FC capitalized on defensive blunders to secure a 3-2 victory at Philip Omondi Stadium on Tuesday night.
The taxmen’s winless streak on the road stretched to four games, with defeats to NEC and Vipers, and a draw against Busoga.
A cautious Kasasiro side pounced in the second half, netting two goals and capitalizing on URA captain Vianney Ssekajugo’s own goal to clinch their fourth consecutive win.
Norman Namanya had given URA an early lead with a strike in the 4th minute but KCCA responded early in the second half through defender Herbert Achai to make the score 1-1.
Vianey Ssekajugo restored URA’s lead just before the hour mark, sending coach David Obua and the bench into wild celebrations only for the same player to score at the wrong end in the 68th minute to level matters at 2-2.
Striker Muhammad Shaban‘s poacher’s finish in the 72nd minute of play to punish a URA defensive error proved to be the winner for KCCA who moved up the table to 9th place on 19 points, a point below URA who occupy 7th spot.
