KCCA FC coach Abdullah Mubiru is confident his team is ready to face Mbarara City in an away match at Kakyeka Stadium in the Uganda Premier League on Wednesday.

“The players are mentally prepared for the challenge and are beginning to believe in their abilities,” Mubiru stated. “I’m pleased that no one is shying away from the challenge. They want to play better.”

KCCA returns to action following a resounding 6-1 victory over Gaddafi in their previous match, while Mbarara City is seeking to bounce back from a 1-0 loss to Maroons.

A win for KCCA would elevate them out of the relegation zone, while Mbarara City would return to their winning form.

KCCA will be without defenders Mustafa Mujuzi and Hassan Mubiru due to fitness concerns.

Mbarara City enters the match on a four-game winless streak. Their coach, Wasswa Bbosa, is determined to turn the tide.

“We have not been performing to our best but I believe we are going to change that. We are at home and we have the potential to live up to task,” Bbosa remarked.

In other Uganda Premier League fixtures on Wednesday, 11th placed Busoga United will take on 4th placed Maroons at FUFA Technical Centre Njeru in Buikwe district, while NEC will face coach David Obua‘s exciting URA under the floodlights at Lugogo.
