KCCA FC has officially confirmed the departure of head coach Sergio Traguil and his two assistants, Luis Manuel Correira Guerreiro (assistant manager) and Eduardo Lazaro Ramon Leiva (strength and conditioning coach).

The decision was made by the club’s board of directors on Monday, with six of the nine members voting in favor of Traguil’s dismissal.

Traguil’s departure comes after KCCA’s worst start to the Uganda Premier League season in recent memory.

The club has lost all four of its opening matches, leaving it second from bottom in the table without a point.

KCCA was also eliminated from the CAF Confederation Cup in the first round by Libya’s Abu Salem.

Traguil has faced a number of challenges during his time at KCCA, including selecting his best players and dealing with a divided dressing room.

Last week, he suspended two senior players, Derrick Ochan and Moses Waiswa, for undisclosed reasons.

Interim coach Jackson Magera will now take charge of KCCA, and he is expected to appoint his own technical team in the coming days.
