KCCA FC claimed their third victory of the season with a dominant 3-0 performance against Soltilo Bright Stars in the Uganda Premier League. The match took place at MTN Omondi Stadium in Lugogo under the floodlights.

This win marked KCCA’s first clean sheet of the season and propelled them into 13th position with 10 points, just one point behind 11th-placed Bright Stars.

Usama Arafat, Muhammad Shaban, and Emmanuel Loki each found the net for the Kasasiro Boys.

Head Coach Abdallah Mubiru expressed his satisfaction with the team’s performance but acknowledged areas for improvement.

“We still have a long way to go, but it’s encouraging to see the players giving their all,” he said. “We’re putting our training sessions into practice on match days, and we’ll continue to fight hard and improve with each game.”

Meanwhile, Soltilo Bright Stars suffered their fourth loss of the season, ending their six-game unbeaten streak.

Coach Joseph Mutyaba attributed the defeat to the unfamiliar experience of playing under floodlights and missed opportunities.

“The floodlights affected us,” Mutyaba explained. “We also had chances that we didn’t capitalize on. We’ll focus on improving for our upcoming matches.”

Elsewhere in the league, goalkeeper Farouk Yawe made his full topflight debut and kept a clean sheet as Kitara FC defeated Express FC 1-0 at Masindi Stadium.

Forward Paul Mucureezi‘s goal in the first half, assisted by Kabon Living, was enough to overcome the Red Eagles who continue to search for their first win under new coach Alex Isabirye.
