  • Miracle Eaglets 48-93 KCCA Leopards

KCCA Leopards got their revenge in emphatic fashion, overwhelming Miracle Eaglets 93-48 in a dominant National Basketball League showdown at Lugogo Indoor Arena on Wednesday night.

The Leopards came into the game looking to settle the score after suffering their only loss of the season to the Eaglets earlier in the campaign and they delivered.

After a close first quarter that ended 20-18 in KCCA’s favor, the Leopards shifted gears and never looked back.

By halftime, they led by 17, and the Eaglets collapsed in the second half, managing just 10 points in each of the final three quarters.

KCCA’s offense was relentless. Tracy Namugosa dropped a game-high 34 points, while Margaret Bagaala added 34 points and 11 rebounds in a powerful double-double.

Uwineza Ninette chipped in with 14 points, rounding out a trio that kept the scoreboard ticking.

Martha Soigi sealed the rout with a deep three, a final stamp on a night of total control for Coach Roger Sserunyigo’s team.

On the Eaglets’ side, only Isabella Namugabo (11 points) and Mariam Namukwaya (10 points) hit double figures in an otherwise quiet night for Coach Arnold Katabi’s squad.

With their 16th season win, the Leopards bounce back with renewed confidence and a clear focus on the playoff race after laying second on the 12 team Log.
