The long-running Eleven day transfer drama involving towering defender Arthur Kiggundu has finally been resolved, with Uganda Revenue Authority Football Club (URA FC) officially unveiling him as their new signing.

Kiggundu joins the Tax Collectors on a two-year deal from Kitara FC as a free agent after a tug-of-war between URA FC and Entebbe UPPC FC. Confusion arose last week when UPPC, formerly Gaddafi FC, prematurely presented Kiggundu as their player despite his move to URA having already been finalized and approved.

Sources reveal that Kiggundu had initially been unveiled by UPPC and even appeared in their colors, believing his URA deal had stalled.

However, URA swiftly secured his signature and completed all paperwork, ensuring his registration was cleared before UPPC’s announcement.

Kiggundu’s transfer to URA was already completed and approved, pending an official unveiling, which came in on Tuesday night” URA confirmed on both their website and X social media platform.

The UPPC announcement caused unnecessary confusion, but the matter is now settled. The versatile left-back, who can also play as a center-back, becomes the fifth Kitara FC player to join URA this window, alongside Chrispus Kusiima, Kabon Living, Fred Amaku, and Ronald Otti.

Kiggundu, known for his composure and commanding presence, brings experience from his time at SC Villa, Tooro United, and Express FC, where he won the Uganda Premier League title.
