On April 7, Real Stars Sports Agency, in partnership with others, announced the top performers across four sports disciplines, with Jacob Kiplimo bagging his fourth.

From October 2025 to January and March 2026, Kiplimo continued as the most successful athlete in the award that was launched in 2018.

For March, the long-distance runner easily beat challenges from Sarah Chelangat and Abbey Chelangat as he went on to set a new World Half Marathon record at 57 minutes and 20 seconds in Lisbon on March 8.

From the sport of Athletics, in football, Maureen Kizza was the real star of March 2026 beating off competition from Marion Serenga and Jovia Nakagolo all playing in the Uganda Women Super League for Uganda Martyrs Lubaga, St Noa Girls, and Kawempe Muslim Ladies.

In Motor Sport, Hassan Alwi was the best driver having won the National Rally Championship Opener in Mbale. For the accolade, he beat his runners-up Moses Lumala and Oscar Ntambi who won the Africa Rally Championship 2.

In Boxing, David Ssemujju Kavuma won the best boxer’s accolade over Farahat Manirola and Saiya Nsubuga. Ssemujju in March defended the WBO Asian Pacific and a Japanese National welterweight title.

Manirola also had a great month when he became the first Ugandan to win in Russia, though he lost the monthly accolade to Kavuma. Saiya Nsubuga was behind the two as he only managed to be the best boxer at a home soil competition (Intermediate).
