Ibrahim Kirya is back at SC Villa, returning as assistant coach with fresh energy and familiar ambition.
The experienced tactician joins head coach Zeljko Kovacevic ahead of the new Uganda Premier League season, bringing leadership and a deep understanding of the club.
Kirya makes the move from BUL FC, where he worked under Abbey Kikomeko. He also held the same role at Villa during the 2022/23 season, when the Jogoos narrowly missed the league title after a final-day loss to URA FC.
With previous coaching roles at Tooro United, Wakiso Giants, Lweza FC, URA FC, and BUL, Kirya brings a wealth of top-flight experience.
His return is part of changes at Villa Park, which also include the arrival of former Cranes goalkeeper Samuel Kawalya as the new goalkeeping coach.
