The 2023/24 betPawa Futsal Super League saw fiery action erupt on Thursday evening at Old Kampala Futsal Arena as three matches unfolded.
Kisenyi FC extended their unbeaten run, newcomers Kawempe endured another crushing defeat while KJT fought hard to beat Aidenal.
Kisenyi FC registrered their fourth consecutive win of the season edging Kabowa Dream Team 3-1. Bakar Yusuf, Abdullahi Abdulkarim, and Dahir Ahmed secured the victory for Kisenyi in the first half, while Latif Nsamba netted a consolation for Kabowa in the second.
Kampala Junior Team (KJT) earned their third victory of the season with a hard-fought 4-2 win over Aidenal. Abdul Shakur Nsereko and Reagan Kimbugwe each scored a brace for KJT, while Lameck Mwebaza‘s double for Aidenal proved insufficient.
Aidenal, coached by James Kaweesi, remain winless and pointless after four matches.
In the last game of the evening, Kawempe’s woes continued as they suffered their fourth loss in as many games in a heavy 9-2 defeat to Futbol Club (FC) Luzira.
Arafat Ssentongo, Edmond Bithum, Joshua Aziku, and Damien Nakalema all scored braces, adding to Vincent Abigaba‘s early opener.
Kenneth Ssekyazi and Arafat Luwangula netted for Kawempe, but the debutants remain rooted at the bottom of the table with four losses and a -22 goal difference.
Match day four continues on Friday evening with three more exciting encounters: unbeaten Park FC takes on Lubowa Grameen, Edgars Youth Programme faces Mengo City, and Kisugu FC challenges Nansana ASKA at Old Kampala Futsal Arena.
