Kitara FC forwards Jude Ssemugabi and Denis Omedi have both been summoned to the Cranes squad to represent the country in the upcoming AFCON campaign.

Uganda Cranes is starting the 2025 Africa Cup of National qualifiers away against South Africa on 6th September 2024 and will return to action 3 days later against Congo Brazzaville, at Namboole National Stadium.

Cranes Coach Paul Put has on the morning of Tuesday 27th August 2024 announced a squad of 28 players to take Uganda through the contests.

Plascon

The team will travel in two groups, with local-based players flying on August 31st and foreign-based players joining directly in South Africa from their respective clubs.

During the ties, the Cranes shall miss the services of Allan Kyambadde, Herbart Ssewankambo, and Moses Opondo through injuries.

For the first match, the team will also miss the services of defenders Halid Lwalilwa and Kenneth Semakula due to travel documents but they will both be ready for the Congo Brazzaville game on September 9th.
