Uganda Premier League newbies Kitara FC has completed the signing of goalkeeper Crispus Kusiima on a two-year contract.

Kusiima becomes the second signing at the club under the tutelage of coach Brian Ssenyondo following Frank ‘Zaga’ Tumwesigye, who joined earlier in the week.

The 27-year-old joins from Jinja-based side Gaddafi FC where he had spent a season under Wasswa Bbosa.

“Kitara has completed their second signing after agreeing on working terms with Chrispus Kusiima,” the team confirmed on Wednesday.

“Kusiima, a goalkeeper, penned down a two years’ contract and will ply his trade with the Royals until 2025,” they revealed the term.

Kusiima previously played for Kitara in the second division before Nyamityobora.

He then played for Tooro United for a season before signing a two-year deal at Express in August 2020.

He won the Uganda Premier League and CECAFA Kagame Club Championships with the Red Eagles during his tenure.

Kusiima comes in as a direct replacement for Michael Kagiri who was offloaded on Monday alongside 15 others.
