KIU Titans truimph over Livingstone in Naalya

The KIU Titans delivered a commanding performance against Livingstone in a high-energy National Basketball League (NBL) Men’s 2025 fixture held at Abja Park on Wednesday night.

With an explosive start and consistent control throughout, the Titans sealed an 86-67 win, asserting their dominance early in the season.

KIU came out blazing, ending the first quarter with a staggering 33–13 lead. Livingstone couldn’t match the Titans’ pace or defensive pressure.

Though LSC improved slightly in the second quarter (KIU 19–LSC 15), the damage had already been done. By halftime, the Titans were comfortably ahead at 52–28.

The Titans were led by a trio of scorers who all hit double digits

  • William Charles Severino poured in 19 points.
  • Ambrose Olum added 17 points.
  • Hon Kwany also dropped 17 points.

Meanwhile, Daniel Odokonyero and another unnamed Titan posted impressive double-doubles each recording 16 points and 13 rebounds while Odokonyero also notched 14 points and 10 rebounds in another statistical tally.

Their efforts on both ends of the court made the difference, dominating the boards and controlling the tempo.

Despite a sluggish start, Livingstone managed to outscore KIU in the fourth quarter (23–10), showing resilience and improved coordination.

Herbert Muhumuza was the standout for LSC with a double-double of 17 points and 10 rebounds while Ivan Rubanga Oryema contributed 16 points, giving fans a glimpse of Livingstone’s potential.
