Kutchi Tigers Aim to Strengthen Title Chances Against Nyakasura

Kutchi Tigers take on Nyakasura on Sunday in the National Men’s 50 Over League hoping to maintain the probability of them winning the league.

The Tigers are placed third in the league with 8 points, four behind both table leaders Aziz Damani Development and second placed Aziz Damani.

But given the fact that the two sides have played a game and two respectively more than Kutchi Tigers, the Tigers still have an outside chance of lifting the title.

A win for them against Nyakasura will move them closer to the top two as it will reduce the point gap to two.

Nyakasura are winless since their 3-wicket win against Avengers in September.

The students have lost two in between and consequently dropped to sixth.

Sunday’s game will be Nyakasura’s eighth. After that game, they will be left with just one to end their season.

Should ACC stage a shocking upsurge and both Ceylon Lions and Patidar win all their remaining games, Nyakasura, if they lose both their games will be relegated.

A win on Sunday, however, will guarantee their safety as it will take them back to fifth with a point tally of 8.

Nyakasura in fact need just a point to confirm safety.
