In the Buganda Masaza Cup, Central County Kyadondo has switched back to Hormisdallen from Hamza Stadium Nakivubo, where they will host their games in 2026.

Reports confirm the development after the overrated stadium in Nakivubo failed to hit Kyadondo’s targets in last year’s competitions.

Among the issues that might have triggered the walk back to their old home, Hamza Stadium has not provided enough time for team training, and it is also reported to have not given a satisfying welcome to Masaza Cup fans.

The cost of the stadium is also believed to have hindered the change, as Hamza Stadium Management targeted almost half of the raised revenue, and has unclear reports on match-day revenues raised.

In approximate comparison, Kyadondo at Hormisdallen in the 2024 season was able to raise revenues amounting to around 60 million Uganda Shillings, a figure that they didn’t even come close to last year.

Performance-wise, last year Kyadondo Ssaza team failed to go through the group stage for the first time in a while; during their home games in Gayaza, they always went through the group stage.

With the team’s return to Gayaza listed among the major changes ahead of the 2026 season, the other change indicates managerial changes that saw Nicholas Lubwama (Yesu Afaayo) and Hajji Norman Ssemwanga Kaboggoza replacing Honorable Khalid Ssimbwa and Joseph Mugisha as Chairman and Team Manager respectively.
