Wakiso District-based Secondary School Kyadondo SS Matugga Kiryagonja is set to host the first ever Africa Kabaddi Schools Championship in Uganda.
The Championship scheduled between December 12 and 17 will have 72 combined boys’ and girls’ teams of U20 from 9 countries including Uganda, Rwanda, Tanzania, Kenya, Zambia, Burundi, and others.
At the Championship, each country is having four slots apiece for boys’ and girls’ championships, with both genders being hosted at Kyadondo SS, Kiryagonga Campus.
Based on the national schools Championship held earlier this year in Masindi, Uganda will be represented by the top four teams of both genders.
In boys, host Kyadondo SS, Mulusa Academy, Bombo Army, and St. Barnabas College will represent, while in girls, Kyadondo SS, St. Barnabas College, and Bombo Army will all have two teams in the championship, while Masindi SS will be the girls’ fourth team.
