Under the guidance of coach Ephraim Mujabi, Kyantaba SS, formerly Ahmadiyya SS, has equaled its last year’s performance by reaching the 2026 Netball round of 16 at the UMEA Solidarity Games.

A narrow 13-10 win over Ibun Buz assured the Kiboga Bukomero-based school of going through the group stage with three wins out of four games.

Earlier today, they beat Masaka SS 13-6, following their biggest win so far this year, which saw them beat Nakaloke SS 27-8, their game changer, from a 16-13 loss to Hamdan Islamic.

Last year, they were stopped at the round of 16 by Ngando SS. In this year’s games, Kyatamba SS were drawn to play against Ibun Buz, who reached the stage as the second-best loser.

In other fixtures of the stage, defending champion Greenlight Islamic will take on Wamatovu SS, and 2024 Champions Kawanda SS will clash against 2024 Champions Ngando SS.

Meanwhile, last year’s finalist Hamdan Girls will hustle against Namagabi SS, Kaddugala SS will take on Kasawo SS, and Gombe SS shall take on Busiika Islamic.

Kibuli SS shall take on Sseke SS, and Hamdan Islamic will face Bulo Parents, as all fixtures are scheduled for Sunday, April 5 morning.
