Lira Matrix and Lira Strikers will this Saturday be on a mission to antagonize the dream Ladies Uganda Rugby Cup 2022 final.
The Lira based clubs face outright favourites in the last four with Matrix making a trip to Kyadondo Rugby Club to face defending champions Thunderbirds at 4pm.
The other fixture, also to be played at 4pm will see Entebbe side, Avengers in Lira district facing home side Strikers.
A total of eight women’s teams were invited but unfortunately only sevens honoured the call with Gulu Sprinters handing Lira Matrix a walk over victory.
Due to the COVID pandemic, the Uganda Cup tournament was last played in 2019 and Thunderbirds claimed the last title with a 15-0 victory over Entebbe Swans at Kisubi University grounds.
