The 2020/21 FUFA Women Super League champions Lady Doves have continued to strengthen their squad ahead of the new season, with the signing of Joan Tusime Nankya and Ciccy Kabarwani.
Nankya, a 20-year-old defender, has signed a three-year contract from Jinja SS WFC, while Kabarwani, a solid and intelligent defender, has joined the club on a two-year contract from Tooro Queens.
Kabarwani and Nankya are now believers!

The two signings are expected to boost Lady Doves’ defensive department, which was a major weakness last season.
In addition to Nankya and Kabarwani, Lady Doves have also signed Apiding Cecilia and Amoding Siporosa from Olila HS WFC, and workaholic and experienced midfielder Winnie Nabbale from She Corporate FC.
Yesterday, Lady Doves confirmed the departure of Rashida Nankya and Florence Nazizi Nalumansi who joined Wakiso Hill WFC and Rines SS WFC respectively.
Lady Doves survived relegation on the last day of last season, but with the signings they have made so far, they will be looking to finish higher up the table in the upcoming campaign.
The 2023/24 FUFA Women Super League season is expected to start in October this year.
