She Maroons made a winning start to their league campaign, thrashing Asubo Ladies FC 5-0 at Kampala Quality Ground on Sunday morning.
Striker Lillian Kasuubo netted a hattrick while Millicent Namwembe scored a brace to seal the huge win and put She Maroons top of the table.
Kasuubo wasted no time in opening the scoring, netting her first league goal in just the 7th minute. She doubled her lead at the death of the first half to put She Maroons in command.

Kasuubo completed her hat-trick early in the second half before Namwembe added two goals to seal the emphatic victory.

What She Maroons coach and captain said
Head coach Simon Peter Ocuka was pleased with his team’s performance.
“It was a great performance from the team today,” he said. “We started well and created a lot of chances in the first half. We took our chances well and scored three goals.”
“In the second half, we continued to dominate and scored two more goals. We are very happy with the start we have made to the season.”

Striker Kasuubo was also delighted with her performance.
“I am very happy to have scored a hat-trick today,” she said. “It was a great team performance and we are very happy to have started the season with a win.”
She Maroons will now look to maintain their winning form when they host Wakiso Hill WFC in their next game on Saturday 21st October.
