Gerald Ogweti, the goal poacher for Lugazi FC, has joined Uganda Premier League side BUL FC on a two-year contract.
The energetic striker agreed terms with BUL FC before the end of the 2022/23 season and will now play for the Jinja-based side.
Ogweti, who joined Lugazi FC in 2020 from Lugazi Municipal FC, established himself as a fan favorite during his three-year stint with the club.
He was the 2021/22 Buganda Regional League top scorer with 16 goals, helping Lugazi FC gain promotion to the FUFA Big League.
In their first season in the FUFA Big League, Ogweti netted 18 goals and registered one assist as his team finished 5th with 44 points.
BUL FC have already completed the signing of Joel Madondo on a two-year contract, and more signings are expected.
Ogweti has previously played for Kyaggwe ssaza, Busiro Ssaza, Lugazi Municipal FC, and Lugazi FC.
