Lugazi FC has officially completed the signing of veteran midfielder David Bagoole from Wakiso Giants on a two-year contract. The move ensures Bagoole will continue to play in the Uganda Premier League following Wakiso Giants’ recent relegation.
The transfer comes as the “Purple Sharks” prepare for life in the Uganda second division after a six-season run in the top flight. Bagoole, a 27-year-old midfielder also known as “Tongo Po,” joined Wakiso Giants at the start of last season from Uganda Premier League champions Vipers Sports Club. He had previously been on loan at Gaddafi Football Club.
During the last season, Bagoole made 15 appearances for Wakiso Giants, with four of those as a substitute. Lugazi FC will be the 13th club in the midfielder’s senior career, which has included stints in Uganda, Kenya, DR Congo, and Seychelles.
