Mandela Group of Companies extended their sports financing with a new sponsorship to Lugazi Sugar Century Golf tournament.
Being one of the franchises which takes a big share in sports funding, through its brand City Tyres the company is already sponsoring SC Villa, East Africa Badminton championship and other sports units.
The Lugazi Sugar Golf tournament is scheduled for 21-23 November with over 100 participants are expected to take part 18-hole Lugazi Hills Course and Country Club.
With the course awaiting to host the 2025 Uganda Open, the event celebrating 100 years shall give a great experience for golfers.
Launched this morning, the Amateurs shall tee off on 21st November 2024 and play 3 rounds reflecting days. For the Professionals shall swing for two rounds before subsidiaries on closing day.
The winners of each category shall win cash prizes; professionals’ winner shall walk home with 10 million shillings, amateur 8 million and women- four millions. The Group has also put two mountain bikes.
The organising company was found in 1924 marking 100 years of existence celebrating with the golf event with players from Uganda and few from Kenya.
