KCCA FC have turned to a trusted leader, naming goalkeeper Charles Lukwago as captain as they unveiled their 2025/26 squad at the Phillip Omondi Stadium on Tuesday.
Lukwago returns to a role he knows well. He first wore the armband in 2019, guiding KCCA to their second Cecafa Kagame Cup in Kigali and ending a 41-year wait for the regional crown.
During his first stint, he also lifted two Uganda Premier League titles and back to back Uganda Cups.
The 30-year-old replaces long-serving skipper Julius Poloto, who left after more than a decade.
Defender Fillbert Obenchan, left-back Herbert Achayi, and striker Derrick Paul Nsibambi will serve as his deputies.
