Charles Lukwago has completed his return to KCCA FC, signing a two-year deal with the 13-time Uganda Premier League champions.

The 31-year-old goalkeeper rejoins Lugogo after his contract with South Africa’s Venda FC expired, ending weeks of speculation linking him to Siwelele FC.

Lukwago previously played for KCCA between 2016 and 2021, winning two league titles, two Uganda Cups, the Super 8, and famously captaining the club to the 2019 CECAFA Kagame Cup their first regional trophy in 41 years.

He also featured prominently in KCCA’s CAF Confederation Cup (2017) and CAF Champions League (2018) campaigns.

With stints at Proline, Lweza, Ethiopia’s St. George, and Victoria University FC, Lukwago brings experience and leadership as KCCA aim to reclaim their place at the top of Ugandan football.
