Lwanga Exit Proves Costly as Mutungo FC Lose First Points

In the Kampala Regional League, Mutungo FC dropped their first points in a 1-1 draw against their neighbors, Born Talent, at Kyambogo College grounds on Thursday, November 13.

Marvin Watakira scored for Mutungo FC, but Tony Lwanga, who was released in the last transfer market, equalized to deny his former bosses, a third straight win from the start of the 2025-2026 season.

After a 1-1 draw, Mutungo FC defender and Captain Aaron Junior Musiima, for his hustle in helping the team to avoid a defeat, became the player to collect the Man of the Match award in the first three games.

The other two are Innocent Tumuhimbise and Godfrey Ssali, against Kireka United in a 1-0 win at Home, Luzira Prisons, and their 4-0 victory over Water FC on the road to UCIT Nakawa.

Elsewhere, Nsambya SC continues their winless streak by losing the first game of the season 3-2 to Lukuli Hearts at Yes Center, following a 3-3 draw against Wembley Boys and a 1-1 draw against PCCP FC in the opening two games.

In other games, Edgars FC defeated Mbogo FC 3-2 at Muteesa II Wankulukuku Stadium, while Police Young FC, on Road to UCIT Nakawa, defeated host Water FC 1-0.

The league shall commence on Saturday, November 15, with Kisugu United hosting Wembley Boys FC at Kibuli TTC. 

PCCP FC will take on Ntinda United FC IUEA at Kansanga, Mbogo FC Vs Buganda Road FC at Kawempe Muslim, and Lufula SC will take on Edgars FC at Kanyanya Express Ground.

On Sunday, November 16, 2025, Lukuli Hearts UTD FC will play versus Lungujja Galaxy SC at Lukuli playgrounds, Mutungo FC will host Nsambya SC at Luzira Prisons.

Black Stars FC will host Born Talent FC at Kanyanya Express Ground, Police Young FC will again host Kireka United FC at Kira Road Police, and Proline FC will host Water FC at Omondi Stadium at 4:00 PM.
