Since joining forces with the Uganda Cricket Association at the beginning of 2024, LycaMobile is actively working to fulfill its promise to elevate the profile and status of cricket in Uganda.
LycaMobile rewarded each of the historic 15 Cricket Cranes squad members from the 2024 T20 World Cup an ultra-modern iPhone 15 Pro Max and a data-friendly Lyca SIM card.
Group Chairman Dr. Subaskaran emphasized the importance of this gesture, stating that their focus on elevating the profile of the game, and rebranding the athletes by providing them with a good lifestyle, and making cricket appealing to the youth.
Other priority concerns for the telecom company include; improving the game’s infrastructure in the country and assisting the association with better coaching personnel and playing opportunities for players abroad.
The players who are currently on a five-week break left the breakfast with wide smiles and are set to resume training for World Challenge League.
Uganda is in Group B of the 50-over Challenge League alongside Hong Kong China, Bahrain, Italy, Singapore, and neighbours Tanzania.
