Margaret Bagaala’s journey in Ugandan sport has always carried a familiar colour. From the She Cranes to the KCCA Leopards in basketball, and now back to netball, yellow has followed her every step.

Her latest move feels less like a switch and more like a continuation of who she is. Simply put, Margaret Bagaala is all yellow.

After five defining years, the Uganda netball star has drawn the curtain on her time at NIC Netball Club.

It was an emotional farewell to a place she called home, a club she credits for shaping her growth on and off the court.

Bagaala described her stay at NIC as a “golden chapter,” one filled with learning, support and lasting bonds.

“I leave with a full heart, priceless memories and deep gratitude,” she said, thanking the managers, coaches and teammates who shared the journey. While her time at NIC has ended, the connection, she insisted, remains strong.

But this is no step away from the game. Bagaala is moving forward with purpose.

Her next stop is KCCA Netball Club, the reigning league champions, a move that immediately boosts an already powerful side and underlines their intent to stay on top.

With her experience, leadership and winning mindset, Bagaala adds real value to the champions’ setup.

A regular at national level with the She Cranes and a proven performer across disciplines, her presence is expected to lift standards and intensify competition as KCCA set their sights on defending their crown.
