Following successive defeats in their first two fixtures of the 2024 Masaza Cup, conceding 6 and scoring none, Gomba has in a mutual agreement consented to part ways with coach Frank Mulindwa.
With immediate effect Gomba decided to fill the vacancy with Coach Nasib Mukasa who will be assisted by William Kyeswa. Gomba has also decided to make changes in the Head technical team with Richard Makumbi replacing Edward Golola.
Under Mulindwa Gomba lost 2-0 at home to Kyaggwe and were humiliated in a 4-0 defeat against Ssingo on road.

Mukasa is to walk in with an immediate task of getting things back on track and has just three days before facing Mawogola on road this coming Sunday 14 July 2024.
Gomba Ssaza team management wanted to stick with coach Frank Mulindwa but their hand was forced by pressure from fans who didn’t want Mulindwa to continue as their coach.
Gomba is the record champion of Airtel Masaza cup with 5 trophies and their last triumph came in 2021, while they lost last year’s final to Bulemeezi.
