After multiple defeats to Buweekula, Kyadondo Ssaza team is plotting for revenge as they face off on Saturday, July 19, at Hamz Stadium, Nakivubo.
In the last three fixtures between the two teams, Buweekula has swept all, beating Kyadondo home and away 1-0 in the 2023 Masaza Cup and 3-0 last year in the third-place match at Namboole.
In the match, Kyadondo is seeking to make good use of the artificial turf, where they edged Bulemeezi 1-0 and drew 1-1 with Bugerere.
Despite Buweekula being known to perform better away from home, this season they have lost their only away fixture 2-1 to Mawokota.
The other fixtures for Buweekula in this year’s campaign have been at home, where they drew 0-0 with Bugerere and smashed Bulemeezi 3-0.
After the opening three fixtures, Kyadondo has been driven by Livingston Kaweesi in the middle of the park, while Mike Kayongo is the man handling Buweekula’s midfield.
This season, Kyadondo has scored two goals in three matches, scored by Sudais Ssentamu and Abaas Muluya Junior, while Buweekula has netted four times with Jimmy Kalema bossing with two goals, Johnathan Luyonde and Benon Candia are other scorers for Buweekula.
Besides the Kyadondo and Buweekula clash, the Masaza Cup shall be staged at different venues, with Ssese at Lutoboka hosting Busiro, while Kabula shall host Mawogola—all games on Saturday.
After Saturday’s actions, the Masaza Cup Week 4 shall continue with six more games on Sunday July 20. Gomba shall host Buluuli at Kabulasoke PTC after Nasibu Mukasa left Buluuli and was later replaced by Jamada Magaasi, who left the goalkeeping coaching role at Gomba.
In other fixtures, Buddu shall host Busujju at Kitovu Sports Arena, Kyaggwe shall host Butambala at Mukono Bishops, Ssingo shall host Kooki at Mityana Ssaza ground, Bugerere shall host Mawokota, and Bulemeezi shall host Buvuma at Kosovo ground Kasana Luweero.
