Masaza Cup: Kyadondo’s Nyanzi rallies troops ahead of Bulemeezi clash

One time Masaza Cup Champion Kyadondo head Coach Medi Nyanzi has revealedhis dislike for three-time champion Bulemeezi as he target continue making them suffer.

It all started in 2023 when Bulemeezi hired the emerging tactician and turned out dismissing him midway the season when he was still hopping to get his season right.

After the devorce, Bulemeezi went on to win the Masaza Cup beating record champions Gomba in the final 1-0.

The next season Nyanzi found another trust but that time in Kyadondo Ssaza, played Bulemeezi in group stage and beat them home and away 4-2 at Hormisdallen and 2-0 in Kasana.

Despite the two wins since the parting ways, Nyanzi is still not content with the loses Bulemeezi he inflicted last season as they failed to go past the group stage, and also finished as the second worst ranked team in 2024 compaign.

On Saturday, 28th June 2025, the Buganda Masaza Cup is set to continue with eight games of the opening round in follow of the opening game last weekend where Buddu defeated Gomba 1-0.

Among the 8 games Kyadondo is hosting Bulemeezi in the return of Masaza football to Nakivubo after more than ten years.

Speaking about the game, Nyanzi optimistically stated; “It will not end in an easy way, I still dislike Bulemeezi, there is no any chance to pardon them we must beat them, our players are very ready to make more suffer to them.”

In build up, Kyadondo played 18 test matches won 15, drew twice and lost once to Busiro and in the process Kyadondo has scored 28 goals while conceding 6.

In other games in Masengere Group, Mawokota will host Buwekula at Buwama on Sunday while Bugerere shall be welcoming Buvuma at Ntenjeru Playground in Kayunga.

In Muganzirwazza Group, Kabula will host Ssingo on Saturday and Sunday, Kyaggwe at Bishops SS will be against Kooki as Mawogola at home taking on Butambala.

In Bulange with Buddu and Gomba having already set off the tournament with a 1-0 win for the defending champions at Kitovu Sports Arena, on Saturday Ssese hosts Bululi and on Sunday Busiro is on road to Busujju.
