Kenya’s impressive performance in the 2024 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Africa Sub-Regional Qualifier B tournament has secured them a place in the regional finals.
In their latest victory, they defeated Seychelles by a convincing nine-wicket margin, with skipper Shem Ngoche’s economical bowling and Neil Mugabe’s 33-run knock leading the way.
Zimbabwe sets new T20I world record
In another standout match, Zimbabwe shattered the T20I world record for the highest team total. Led by Sikandar Raza’s incredible 133-run innings, Zimbabwe posted a staggering 344/4 against Gambia.
The Chevrons’ dominance continued in the second innings, with Richard Ngarava and Brandon Mavuta taking three wickets each to dismiss Gambia for 54 runs.
Mozambique registers comfortable win over Rwanda
Mozambique also claimed a victory in the tournament, defeating Rwanda by 7 wickets. Francisco Couana’s impressive bowling and Joao Hou’s all-round contributions were key to Mozambique’s success.
