The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has provisionally suspended three Buhimba United Saints FC players for 90 days amid investigations into alleged match manipulation linked to betting.

The players, Ayebale Moses, Dudu Ramathan and Nkata Fred are under scrutiny over the Lugazi FC versus Buhimba United Saints fixture played on November 8, 2025, which FUFA believes may have been deliberately influenced.

FUFA said its Ethics and Disciplinary Committee, through the Investigatory Chamber, opened formal proceedings after receiving information pointing to irregularities surrounding the match.

Preliminary findings suggest possible involvement of the three players, prompting action under Article 43 of the FUFA Ethics and Disciplinary Code on match manipulation.

The provisional suspensions, imposed under Section 78 of the Code, are intended to protect the integrity of the competition as investigations continue.

FUFA also noted that the alleged actions may contravene the National Sports Act, and the case will be referred to the Uganda Police for possible criminal investigation.

The trio will remain barred from all football-related activities until the probe is concluded, as FUFA intensifies efforts to safeguard the credibility of the game.
