- Strikers 63/8 in 15 Overs (Amir Ochaya 20, Timothy Kawanguzi 12; Pius Oloka 2/7)

Blasters won 5 wickets
In a game of revised overs due to rain, Blasters continued their steady march at the top with a calm five wicket win over Strikers on Tuesday morning in Batball MAXX T20 Challenge Cup Day 10 at the Lakeside Oval in Entebbe.
It was their sixth victory in seven matches and another sign of a side growing in confidence. Kenneth Waiswa’s team remains clear at the summit with 12 points, built on sharp bowling and composed batting.
After Strikers captain Robinson Obuya chose to bat, Blasters struck early and kept the pressure on.
Mathew Musinguzi removed Obuya for two in the opening over, setting the tone for a difficult morning for Strikers.
Pius Oloka was outstanding, picking up two wickets for just seven runs in three tight overs, as Strikers slid to 12 for four inside four overs.
Amir Ochaya offered brief resistance with a patient 20, but smart fielding and constant pressure told.
Opio Tonny played a key role in two run-outs as Strikers were limited to 63 for eight from their 15 overs, a total that never looked enough.
Blasters made light work of the chase despite a short wobble. Simon Ssesazi and Charles Musemeza gave them a strong start, adding 34 for the first wicket. Musemeza led the way with a lively 24 off 21 balls, while Ssesazi chipped in with 18.
A cluster of wickets briefly lifted Strikers’ hopes, but Yashashvi Joshi steadied the innings with an unbeaten 14, and Waiswa finished things off with a calm 5 not out. Victory was sealed in 11.3 overs.
Another efficient display keeps Blasters firmly on course as the team to catch in the competition.
Action at the Lakeside Oval continues later in the day, with Warriors facing Royals in the afternoon fixture.
