  • Warriors 129/6 in 20 Overs (Fahad Mutagana 54*, Steven Wabwose 34; Rayan Tendo 2/17, Hamid Munigwa 2/21)
  • Strikers 112/6 in 20 Overs (Robert Ajuna 31, Timothy Kawanguzi 19; Christopher Kidega 3/13, Joseph Baguma 2/11)

Warriors won by 17 runs

Fahad Mutagana led by example as Warriors strengthened their grip on third place with a composed 17 run win over Strikers on Saturday morning at the Lakeside Oval in Entebbe.

After winning the toss, Mutagana chose to bat on a tricky surface and backed the decision with a calm, unbeaten 54.

Following the early loss of Ronald Lutaaya, the skipper steadied the innings, batting with patience and purpose to guide Warriors to 129 for six.

Wicketkeeper Steven Wabwose provided timely support with a lively 34, while Joseph Baguma and Robert Owili added late runs to push the total beyond 120, despite disciplined bowling from Hamid Munigwa and Tendo Rayan.

Warriors then defended their score with control. Wabwose struck early with the ball, and Baguma chipped in with two important wickets to keep Strikers in check.

The decisive blow came from Christopher Kidega, whose superb spell of three for 13 ripped through the middle order and tilted the game firmly in Warriors’ favour.

Robert Ajuna’s fighting 31 and late contributions from Yunus Sowobi and Munigwa offered brief hope, but Strikers were always chasing the game and finished on 112 for six.

The win reflected Warriors’ growing consistency and Mutagana’s calm influence as captain and anchor. With momentum building, they remain well placed in third as the competition gathers pace.

Focus now turns to the afternoon clash, where Titans take on table leaders Blasters at 2:00pm at Lakeside Oval.
