- Gladiators 30/8 in 5 Overs ( Dan Keith Amani 10, Brian Asaba 4; Enock Kasaija 3/13, Simon Oketcho 2/4, Ismail Munir 2/6)

Super Over winner – Gladiators
Early rain shortened the match, but it did nothing to blunt the tension as Gladiators edged Titans in a riveting Super Over on Day 11 of the Batball MAXX T20 Challenge Cup at the Lakeside Oval in Entebbe on Wednesday morning.
With play reduced to five overs per side, the contest became a frantic dash. Both teams scraped their way to 30, forcing a Super Over where Gladiators stayed calmer and came out on top to claim a vital win.
Sent in to bat, Gladiators struggled to find momentum. Suleman Sharif and Brian Asaba fell early, and although Dan Keith Amani battled for a measured 10 off nine balls, wickets kept tumbling. Titans’ bowlers, led by Enock Kasaija and Simon Oketcho, never allowed any freedom.
From 21 for five, Gladiators slid to 21 for eight before Kizza Jonathan and Aziz Abdul Tandia squeezed out a few late runs to reach 30 for eight, a total that kept the game delicately poised.
Titans’ reply followed a similar script. Sharif struck twice early to remove Conrad Lubwama and Simon Oketcho, while Amos Ahura fell first ball and Fred Achelam was trapped lbw. Ismail Munir and Ronald Magezi rebuilt carefully, and Magezi held his nerve at the end.
Needing three from the final ball, Titans could manage only two, finishing on 30 for six and sending the match into a Super Over.
There, Gladiators were sharper and more composed, executing better with both bat and ball to finally break the deadlock and seal a memorable victory.
The win keeps Gladiators second on the table behind leaders Blasters. At the bottom, Titans remain with two victories and five losses after seven games, level with Royals.
Attention now turns to the afternoon match at the same venue, where Blasters face Royals.
