The BATBALL Program enters its second tournament of Season Two with the launch of the MAXX T20 Challenge Cup, starting 7 December 2025 in Entebbe.
The event follows just a week after the lively BATBALL X Jinja T10 and will run for 15 days, giving Uganda’s emerging cricket talent another big stage.
Unlike the fast, short-format opener, the MAXX T20 brings together 84 players across six teams, Blasters, Warriors, Titans, Strikers, Gladiators, and Royals.
The squads include standout performers from Jinja, young prospects from Cricket Uganda’s development pathway, senior club players, and national team stars.
It’s a blend designed to test skill, depth, and consistency.
As the official qualifier for next year’s premier BATBALL MAXX, the stakes are high. The tournament will follow a double round-robin format, packing 30 games into two weeks of daily double headers. The table leader at the end will be crowned champions.
BATBALL CEO described the Challenge Cup as “the bridge between our grassroots Jinja T10 and the elite MAXX T20 stage,” noting that it helps identify in-form players, refine match-fee grading, and sharpen both junior and senior cricketers.
“It’s more game time, tougher competition, and global visibility, everything our cricket pathway needs,” he said.
All matches will stream live, giving local and international fans a front-row seat to Uganda’s rising cricket scene.
The MAXX T20 Challenge Cup aims to raise standards, deepen competition, and ensure only the best progress to BATBALL MAXX Season Two.
