Mbarara City FC’s winless run in the Uganda Premier League extended to four games on Friday after they were held to a goalless draw by Busoga United at the FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru.
The Ankole Lions had previously recorded goalless draws against Vipers and Express before losing 1-0 to NEC.
Mbarara created chances but failed to utilize them, a problem that coach Wasswa Bbosa has promised to address.

“We gave in our best but we didn’t win,” said Bbosa. “We shall try to make sure we improve since we create chances but we fail to convert them.”

Mbarara have also failed to score a goal in their last four games, but Bbosa is confident that the situation will improve with time.
Busoga United, who had lost their previous two games against Express (2-0) and NEC (5-0), managed to pick up a point and coach Vincent Lukyamuzi feels they can build on that in their next games.
“We had the chances but we didn’t put them away,” said Lukyamuzi. “But we shall try to see that we perform better with games to come.”
The match between Arua Hill and Gaddafi at Paridi Stadium was postponed after ten minutes of play due to heavy rain. The game will be resumed on Friday morning.
