Mbarara QC and Fiyore Sports Club have secured their spots in the deciding preliminary round of the Futsal Uganda Cup, putting them one step closer to the coveted round of 16.
In a thrilling match, Fiyore Sports Club defeated Kabowa Dream Team 2-0, with both goals coming in the second half. Muhammed Gaabow’s impressive solo effort and Abdiweli Sabca’s finish sealed the victory for the Somali side.
Meanwhile, Mbarara QC dominated their opponents, Lamansia, with an emphatic 8-3 win. Idi Babu, Vincent Abigaba, Kenneth Majara, and Derick Mubiru each scored twice to contribute to their team’s victory.
The win sets up an exciting clash between Fiyore Sports Club and Mbarara QC on Friday, October 4, 2024.
Winner of the contest shall join defending champion Park FC, Kisenyi FC, Edgar’s Youth Programme, Lubaga Grameen, Grameen Academy, Kabuusu Clouds, Busunju Sparks, First Touch Sports, Motion Sports, Crown Lubiri, Aidenal, Entebbe Cheaters, Mengo Sports Academy, Kisugu FC, and Nansana ASKA Academy in the round of 16.
