Mbogo, the first clan to win the Bika By’abaganda tournament, thrashed Omutima Omusagi 5-0 in the second leg of their semifinal on Wednesday to advance to the final.
Vipers SC talisman Yunus Ssentamu scored a brace, while Nelson Ssenkatuka, Marvin Nyanzi, and Gordon Wante scored one each for Mbogo. Wante’s goal was an own goal.
The first leg had ended in a 1-1 draw, but Mbogo came out firing in the second leg to secure a comprehensive victory and advance to the final 6-1 on aggregate.
Mbogo will now face the winner of the other semifinal between Nsenene and Ngoonge in the final.
The first leg of that match ended in a 1-1 draw, and the second leg will be played on Thursday.
The final will be played on August 26 at Muteesa II Stadium in Wankulukuku and will be graced by His Majesty Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II.
Mbogo last won the competition in 2019, when they defeated Kkobe in the final that was held in Masaka, their third triumph in history.
