Mengo City thrash Crown Lubiri to win 2024-25 Futsal Super League

Walking to the court in the second position behind Park FC, which had won against QC Mbarara with the last touch of the game courtesy of Abasi Muluya Junior, who flew in from Asia for the match, Mengo City started the game bitterly to lead 5-0 in just ten Minutes. Captain Anthony Male already had a hat trick to his name.

Male opened the scoring in the 5th minute, Samuel Omara doubled the lead, senior player John Musasizi added the third in minute to force Park FC fans to start leaving the arena.

Before Park FC’s fans got to the exit door, Male added on the fourth in the same minute as Muwanguzi’s goal, and the captain completed the hat trick in the eleventh minute.

The game started with the arena fully packed but from the eleventh minute, there were only Mengo City fans overjoying their title grab.

At halftime, the score remained 5-0 as Mengo City fitted in an entertainment display while Crown Lubiri continued getting shorter in the game.

Five minutes into the second half, fans boy Ian Tugume found his 18th goal and captain Male extended his day tally to 4 goals just a few seconds after Tugume’s finish.

There after, Abdullah Abdifatah introduced members of the junior team, and later Musasizi grabbed his second and Tugume as well, making the score 9-0.

Arafat Kabanda sealed the league season by making the score 10-0, the other player on the score sheet was Hakim Bagalaba.
