SC Villa presidential aspirant Farouq Meywa has promised SC Villa fans that he will win them a continental trophy in his first two years as Club president.

Meywa unveiled his manifesto to all SC Villa fans gathered at Kanyanya Express ground, within the Kazo SC Villa fans branch, on Saturday, 14th February 2026.

“SC Villa is not a team for only Kampalans, but it is a club for people from different parts of Uganda and others in the diaspora. I assure you that I am able to improve this club in all aspects, even in competition. I will be winning the CAF Champions League in the first two years.”

SC Villa’s best performance in the African Champions League was a final where they lost to Shooting Stars 3-0 on aggregate in 1992, while in their most recent appearance, they didn’t go through the first preliminary round in 2024 as they were eliminated by Commercial Bank of Ethiopian Sports Association, which beat them 3-2 on aggregate.

The SC Villa board of trustees is expected to unveil the club’s electoral roadmap on 1st March. Maywe further promised to unveil the stadium he is constructing for the club on March 2.

Last Month, Meywa unveiled offices which he expects to be SC Villa’s administrative home at Old Kampala, and he promised to have the offices open for anyone who will be elected SC Villa president in the upcoming club elections.

Currently, SC Villa remains under the leadership of Hajj Omar Mandela, whose term ended last November, which brought the Federation of Uganda Football Association to step in following the outcry of SC Villa fans led by Farouq Meywa.
