After Park FC’s recent withdrawal from the Futsal Super League, star player Michael Abura has officially signed with Crown Lubiri.
The move is a significant boost for Crown Lubiri, who are looking to strengthen their squad after a challenging end to the 2024-2025 season.
Abura Brings Championship Experience
Michael Abura is a highly regarded futsal player known for his leadership and skill. He was a key figure in Park FC’s dominant 2023-2024 season, where he helped lead the team to a historic treble, winning the Futsal Super League, the Uganda Cup, and the Super Cup.
His experience is expected to be invaluable to Crown Lubiri, a team that struggled with inexperience despite a promising start last season.
Futsal Transfer Window Heats Up
Abura’s transfer is part of a larger reshuffling in the Uganda Futsal scene. The official transfer window, which runs from August 1st to August 31st, has seen several clubs actively reinforcing their rosters.
Abura’s former teammate, Joshua Aziku, also made a move, joining the reigning champions, Mengo City.
