The Miracle Eaglets delivered a commanding performance on Wednesday at the YMCA Kampala, soaring past Angels Basketball Club with a 75-31 victory in the 2025 National Basketball League (NBL) Women’s competition.

The Eaglets, coached by Arnold Katabi, showed poise and power from tip-off, outscoring the Angels in every quarter. The scoreboard told the story: 14-10, 21-9, 18-8 and a relentless 22-4 finish that buried any hopes of an Angels comeback.

It was a balanced offensive outburst by the Eaglets, spearheaded by a trio of standout players. Guard Alice Isoto was the engine, putting up a solid double-double of 10 points and 15 rebounds, commanding both ends of the court.

She was ably supported by sharpshooter Mariam Namukwaya, who poured in 18 points, and Brenda Alanyo, who topped the scoring charts with 20.

On the opposite side, Angels Basketball Club struggled to find rhythm and offensive fluidity. No player hit double figures, with Martha Patience Likicho leading the effort with a modest 8 points.

The team, coached by Emmanuel Ateng, was visibly overwhelmed by the Eaglets’ defensive pressure and fast-paced transition game.

The loss leaves the Angels with much to reflect on, especially on the offensive end where they failed to register more than 10 points in any quarter.

Elsewhere in the Women’s NBL action, the UPDF Lady Tomahawks edged past Nabisunsa in a tightly contested 77-71 game at Abja Park in Naalya while the Magic Stormers claimed a 74-67 win over the Nkumba Lady Marines in Lugogo.
