In 2018, Muhangi’s election sparked a wave of optimism, despite initial challenges including a protracted court case.
He quickly rose above opposition and established his legitimacy with a transparent and accountable five-point program.
Driving Growth and Success:
Under Muhangi’s leadership, the UBF witnessed remarkable growth with the number of registered boxers soaring from 110 to 481.
The boxing champions league has become a major sporting event in the country and plans to revive both the Bika and Masaza boxing championships are in high gear.
Championing Fairness: Muhangi successfully petitioned for a fairer distribution of sports budget funds, ensuring broader support for Ugandan athletes.
International Recognition: He hosted the AIBA president twice in Uganda and secured land from the Buganda Kingdom for a new sports complex, which should solidify Uganda’s position on the global boxing stage.

Muhangi’s entrepreneurial ventures in real estate and DJ training with Gong records demonstrate his diverse talents and commitment to Uganda’s overall development.
His educational background, including a bachelor’s degree in Statistics and a Diploma in Law, further reinforces his well-rounded leadership qualities.
