With the Elite Games 2025 fast approaching, excitement is building in Mpigi Zone, the host of the championship.
Scheduled to take place at St. Joseph Nazareth Kavule from February 13th to 16th, the games promise to be a showcase of talent and sportsmanship.
As the reporting day draws near, Mpigi Sports Commission Chairman, Kalvin Stephen Walakira, has assured the USSSA and participating schools of a well-organized and memorable event.

Walakira, who also serves as the treasurer of USSSA Mpigi Zone and Headmaster at Katende Progressive, expressed the zone’s enthusiasm for hosting the prestigious games.
“The entire Mpigi Zone is delighted for this opportunity,” he stated. “We have sufficient qualifying facilities to accommodate the games, and we are going to provide the best in organizing the championship.”
Adding to the welcoming spirit, Julius Alpha Amega, the Headmaster of St. Joseph Nazareth Kavule, extended a warm invitation to all visitors.
However, he also emphasized the importance of adhering to the school’s rules and regulations.
“I urge students and any other persons that will come for the three-day event to obey our school rules,” Amega cautioned, “respect our personnel in control of school security.”
The Elite Games 2025 will see top schools from across the country converging at the venue of the games on February 13th.
The competition will feature a diverse range of sports, including; Football, Rugby 7s, Handball, and Basketball (both 3×3 and 5×5) for both boys and girls. Netball will be contested exclusively by girls.
