Addressing the media at the GNS Plaza, the home of USSSA head offices, on Wednesday, February 4, President Mugisha stated, “I appreciate the ministry and the FUFA president Engineer Moses Magogo for aligning this beautiful act. It has relieved us because our schools have been getting people who are over age and cheat their ages to 13 while they are having beads. This year those people are technically out of our competitions, and they will have to wait until they are 16.”

The press briefing was called for, awaring the media fraternity on this year’s Secondary Schools sports activities which include Local and International competitions, Capacity Buildings, and USSSA Elections.

The confirmed calendar also unveiled a change that separates times for the Ball games 1, which will occur between 29 April and 9 May for 2026, and Boys Football scheduled for 10th to 20th May.

The commencing calendar is in the inspection process for hosting schools for different events, including Elite Secondary Schools games scheduled for 26th February- 1st March at Janan School Bombo, Ball Games 1, National Boys Football Championship at Lira Town College, Ball games 2 at Sacred Heart SS Gulu, and FEASSA Games in August.
