KCCA FC have boosted their squad ahead of the new Uganda Premier League season by signing winger Rogers Mugisha on a free transfer from Kitara FC.
Unveiled on Wednesday, the 23-year-old described the move as a “dream come true” and promised to give his all for the 13-time champions.
“Signing for KCCA FC is a dream come true. This is one of the biggest clubs in the country. I’m ready to give my all for the badge. I know the expectations are high, but I’m confident in my abilities and eager to contribute to the team’s success,” Mugisha said via the club’s website.
Mugisha reunites with head coach Brian Ssenyondo, under whom he previously played, joining former teammates Lazaro Muhindo and Ivan Ahimbisibwe. He brings experience from his time at UPDF FC, Gor Mahia in Kenya, and Danish side AC Horsens.
At KCCA, he is expected to fill the gap left by Arafat Usama and strengthen an attack featuring Etienne Katenge, Yan Gatbel, Joao Gabriel, and Shafik Nana Kwikiriza.
Mugisha becomes KCCA’s fifth major signing this window, following Ahimbisibwe, Muhindo, Herbert Achayi, and Enock Walusimbi, as the Lugogo side push to reclaim the league title.
