The Blazers set the tone early, ending the first quarter 18-11 after Davis Assimweโ€™s buzzer-beating three-pointer. By halftime, they had stretched their lead to 42-20, thanks in part to a deep three from Moses Mugisha.

KCCA Panthers showed more fight in the third quarter, but the Blazers remained in control, holding a 60-39 lead heading into the final period.

With the game all but won, Muhwezi had the final word. His long-range three-pointer closed out the 26-point victory, capping off a memorable debut and sending the home crowd into a frenzy.

Joel Lukoji led all scorers with 16 points, supported by Innocent Ochera (12) and James Okello (10).

KCCAโ€™s Ivan Lumanyika was their only player to reach double figures, finishing with 10 points.
