Lugazi FC have signed winger Ashraf Mulindi on a season-long loan from SC Villa, sealing the move just hours before Friday’s transfer deadline.
Mulindi, 23, will wear the number 7 shirt and becomes Lugazi’s 13th new recruit as the ambitious side strengthens for the 2025/26 Uganda Premier League campaign.
Other signings include Alfred Leku, David Bagoole, Billy Wabwire, Allan Igama, Muhammad Kakooza, Amos Etoju, Adam Mutesasira, Solomon Okwalinga, Edrine Owachgiu, Yusuf Mafabi, Paul Busolo and Dauson Mafumu.
The winger brings proven topflight experience. He scored three league goals for Bright Stars in 2023/24 and added two more last season before joining SC Villa, where he provided an assist and helped win the 2025 FUFA Super Eight.
Before breaking into the Premier League, Mulindi netted 20 goals and five assists for Kataka FC in the FUFA Big League from 2019 to 2022. He also featured in Uganda’s CECAFA U-20 Championship winning squad in 2022.
Lugazi expect his pace and creativity to boost their push to be genuine contenders this season.
